Tiger Woods chooses Utah to design his first golf course Golf legend Tiger Woods will soon open his first golf course, choosing Utah as the location.

The PGA Tour champion is partnering with The Marcella Club in Park City to design the 18-hole course. It will be Woods' company TGR Design's debut golf course design.

The course is expected to debut in 2025. In a news release, Woods remarked, "I couldn't be more delighted to join with the Marcella Club in developing and creating a new championship.

“Utah is an incredible place with year-round weather that offers opportunities to be active outdoors in all four seasons – golf, skiing, biking, hiking, and fishing – the list goes on and on.

I am thrilled to be designing a course in such a special place; this new course is uniquely beautiful and will offer engaging play for all abilities.

My intention is to create a first-class golf experience that would tie in with Marcella Club's vision of modern luxury living." Having won 15 championships, 

golfers the world has ever seen and holds numerous records. Additionally, he belongs to the World Golf Hall of Fame. Tiger Woods returned to the golf course in early 2022 at the Masters.

Located southeast of Salt Lake City, Park City is home to many resorts and hosts the largest independent film festival, Sundance. The city also hosted some venues for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
